Dr Wood: God Delusion

a recurring thought throughout the holiday was my fear that im being too complacent when it comes to tackling the actual mental disorders the characters have. for the most part my fanarts have said implicitly that beings with asylum-worthy problems can also, and have, lead full active lives and can find love as easily as the rest of you, but...the fact remains that narcissistic personality disorder, severe depression, drug overdose aftermath, potential disorganized schizophrenia (for sly, not dolly), dissociative identity disorder, bulimia nervosa, autism, obsessive compulsive disorder, anxiety disorder, aquaphobia and any other potential disorders ive missed are an intricate part of their characters: debilitating to day-to-day life, a core part of them, and not something that should be overlooked.

this fanart, and the five that come after it, is partly my way of doing something about it. its a metaphor that shows how deeply conflicting a messiah complex can be; when you want power and success, even beyond what you know youve earned, when you are willing to demolish anything and anyone to get it, including your own, previously flawed, self image.
